The Listening God print email

Understanding where we work is sensible practice and a sign of respect.

There are few experts in times of rapid change.

Christianity happens in the context of culture. This means old questions are recycled and and new questions are raised.

God has not automatically given us all the knowledge we need to understand the places and people to whom we witness. He expects us to His example: “They found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. (Luke 2:46) We worship the listening God.

It is a grave mistake to assume we know the answers before we know the questions. First we must listen and then speak.
